Samsung Galaxy S23 series price reportedly remains the same as its older sibling, the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S21, suggests new leaked carrier info ahead of its launch in February.
Previous reports pointed out that the Galaxy S23 lineup is likely getting a price hike. But this time, leaked carrier details say otherwise.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Series Price
Samsung is getting ready to introduce its all-new Galaxy S23 lineup on February 1, in time for its Unpacked event.
But ahead of its debut, leaks and rumors have speculated on the pricing of the upcoming Android flagship device. It is worth mentioning that the giant phone maker has yet to provide details on how much the new S23 devices would cost.
As per a news story by 9to5 Google, early reports predict that the Galaxy S23 lineup is getting at least a $100 price increase from the pricing of the S22 series once the new phone debuts. However, Samsung never confirmed or denied such a report. So the pricing of its new smartphone is still unclear.
But now, newly leaked carrier information gives us a glimpse of the possible price tag of the next-generation Samsung flagship.
Leaked Carrier Info Hints No Price Hike in US
The specifications sheet of Verizon says that the upcoming Galaxy S23 starts at $799.99, 9to5 Google reports.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S23 Plus, according to the leaked Verizon information, retails for $999.99. And lastly, the top-of-the-line option goes as high as $1,999.99.
Given that, the carrier specs sheet suggests that the pricing for the Galaxy S23 series sits between $799.99 to $1,199.99.
It is contrary to recent reports, which hint at a looming price increase in the US.
According to GSM Arena, the pricing information in Australia receives a $100 increase, which suggests that the US and the United Kingdom pricing are following through. However, the latest Verizon leak suggests otherwise.
The US pricing of the S23 might stay the same as the S22. However, it remains to be seen if Samsung is keeping its pricing for the S23 in other markets like Australia and Europe.
Galaxy S23 vs S22 Pricing
9to5 Google says that the leaked pricing of the S23 series is similar to the price tag of the S22 lineup when it debuted in 2022.
The entry-level S22 sells for $799.99, whereas the Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra retail for $999.99 and $1,999, respectively.
However, it should be noted that Samsung has yet to reveal the pricing of its upcoming flagship series. So do take the leaked price tag with a grain of salt.
