Twitter's giant bird statue in its headquarters is now up for sale in an online auction, along with other office furniture and memorabilia.
It looks like the Elon Musk-owned social media is seriously finding ways to make more money. And that includes selling furniture and other Twitter HQ stuff.
Bidders could also get their hands on various items, such as a giant neon bird light and a massive @ sign planter.
Twitter's Bird Statue is Now Up for Auction
As per a recent report by BBC News, hundreds of Twitter HQ items are now up for sale in an online auction.
The famous giant blue bird statue sells for roughly $11,000 with only 24 hours left before the bidding comes to a final curtain call. The Twitter bird statue is iconically the symbol of the now Musk-owned social network.
The platform has been using the same blue bird icon for years now and seeing one reminds us of Twitter. Its logo may have had some slight design changes in the past years, but it remained a blue bird.
And now, you can get your hands on the giant Twitter bird statue if you have thousands of dollars to spare.
If you plan to open up a museum of all sorts of Twitter stuff, this might be a good start. Other than that, it is really up to you what you'll do with it.
Aside from the bird statue, the auction also offers a neon bird light, which admittedly looks dope. But it is going to cost you quite a lot. The minimum bid, as of writing, is now as high as $20,500.
Hurry up, as it has at least 14 hours left before the bid closes.
Tech Crunch reports in its recent story that the neon bird sign started at around $350 and shot up to roughly $5,000. And now, it is more than $20,000.
Twitter HQ Furniture For Sale
Aside from the bird signs, the Twitter auction also includes tons of furniture from the San Francisco headquarters.
A pair of Herman Miller coffee tables are now up for auction as well, selling for roughly $2,000. The social media giant is also letting go of usual office furniture, such as small drawers, printing devices, and sofas.
There are some surprisingly weird listings like a $3,500 cheese slicer and retro photo booth, Tech Crunch notes. Interestingly, Twitter is also offloading boxes of KN95 masks.
In another related news, Twitter's Cost-Cutting cost-cutting measures reportedly ended up with a lack of janitors.
