Made Out of Snow

What makes the showroom even more unique is the showroom is made out of snow. The Snow Space is a giant cube that stands 12 meters tall with two-meter walls building using 3,000 cubic meters of snow taken from Ounasvaara, a Finnish ski resort.

Inside, there are replicas of various Polestar vehicle components, such as brakes, suspension parts, and wheels. These replicas are made out of ice by local artists.

The space took 20 days to build in which the builder put up special molds for the walls that were filled with compacted snow. It was inspired by the minimalistic Scandinavian design of the EV maker's headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, and built by Frozen Innovation.

According to the Martin österberg, Polestar's Finland Marketing Manager, "The city of Rovaniemi is known for its wonderful design. We wanted to honor this by creating a beautiful work that was inspired by our brand's minimalistic and pure design language."

Visitors can also book test drives at the Space. However, you can't buy a Polestar vehicle here as all sales are still online.

The Polestar Space will host visitors until February 26, After this, the snow walls will be turned into ski slopes again.

This is the second Polestar Space that was built. The first one is in Gothenburg, Sweden. However, it will surely not be the last. According to the company, even though it has a lot of showrooms around the world and just opened one in London, the company is eyeing other locations for the next Polestar Space.

Polestar is Volvo's performance electric car brand. It was created by Volvo Cars to electrify their current and future models. They are based on Volvo's Compact Modular Architecture (CMA), shared with other premium performance EVs of the Swedish automaker.
