Elon Musk: Twitter is Better than Instagram, Claims Meta App Makes People ‘Depressed’

Will Twitter be the preferred app over Instagram?

Elon Musk went to Twitter today to ask which social media company is better than the other, and he mentioned the Meta-owned app, Instagram. When pitting Instagram and Twitter, the CEO cited two effects of using the platform with the short word social media also having a negative reaction to people who uses the app.

Alongside this, there were talks about Twitter's algorithm change, one which its leader talked about changing before the year ended in 2022.

Chief Twit made a statement via a tweet earlier today, and it is about the "Twitter vs. Instagram" debate, citing several negative effects of both platforms on its users. Here, he said that "Instagram makes people depressed," but on the other hand, Twitter is a platform that causes people to be angry.

The CEO then asked the public about which is the better platform, considering what it brings to people whenever using it.

There was a lot that claims Twitter is better than Instagram, and this may not be official polls or results, especially as it can be said that there is bias since it was asked on the short word social media platform.

One user said that Twitter is better because it does not have any filters, and people can freely express themselves online.

Twitter Algorithm is Better than Before

One user asked Musk to change the Twitter algorithm to avoid pushing for negative or dramatic content online, and focus more on an "equal amount of positive posts." However, the top billionaire said that there were already changes applied to Twitter's current experience, further claiming that it "should already feel better than the past," referring to its algorithm.

Elon Musk and Twitter

In the spirit of Twitter's algorithm improvement for the new year, there was one standout change on the platform, focusing on a better feed for users that is somehow similar to a known experience. It is reminiscent of TikTok's For You page, and it now comes default to iOS users first, soon to arrive on other platforms or devices.

Additionally, the tech CEO claimed that it will bring back a previously-banned feature on the platform, focusing on the political ads that had been out of the platform since 2019. These ads were previously banned globally, and the change now is that any controversial figures will not be included in this revision of the said policy.

Subscriptions, blue check verifications, and a lot more were changed by Twitter which drew mixed reactions from the public and caused some to leave the social media. Musk's takeover of Twitter had many changes on the platform, which he claims to be making people angry, but suggests it be better than Instagram and others.
