A new scary VR game is being developed and tested by Ninja Theory and the University of Cambridge.
The British title publisher and involved researchers at the University of Cambridge claim that the new virtual reality video game could help people with anxiety.
Lucie Daniel-Watanabe, a doctoral student leading the new VR research, explained why virtual reality could help cope with anxiety.
"VR allows you to completely manipulate the environment that people are in, which can be really useful in that regard," she explained.
New VR Game Could Help People With Anxiety
According to The Guardian's latest report, the new VR game can help people with breathing techniques that can calm them when they have anxiety attacks.

It also puts them in a stressful scenario so that they overcome panic-inducing situations.
According to the University of Cambridge's official website, the new VR has two stages.
The first one will bring you to a boat in the middle of the sea. You will hear a voice guiding you on how to control your breathing.
During this moment, the New Age soundtrack will also be played. This will last for around five minutes.
Once you are calm, the VR game will bring you to a dungeon where you see a "terrifying monster."
As of writing, this new virtual reality game is still undergoing tests before it can be used publicly.
Is the New VR Game Effective?
Since the new VR game Ninja Theory is incomplete, it is hard to conclude that the new title is effective.
This new title works more simply than you think. The first and second stages are connected.
In the first part, you will practice how to calm your breathing. After that, you will see a monster in the dungeon.
Daniel-Watanabe said that the monster couldn't see the player unless they showed fear. This means that if you breathe heavily, the humanoid character will lunge at you.
But you will be able to survive the game if you can breathe calmly until the end. You can watch the YouTube video below to see the game's look. .
