Microsoft's "Starfield" is skipping the Xbox and Bethesda showcase this January, confirms the tech giant.
Instead, the showcase puts the shimmer of the spotlight on titles like "Redfall" and "Forza Motorsports." On the other hand, the tech giant says that "Starfield" deserves a standalone event.
Microsoft Confirms 'Starfield' is Skipping Xbox, Bethesda Showcase
The Redmond-based tech giant announced its "Developer_Direct" showcase event this January for multiple Xbox and Bethesda games, as per a report by Ars Technica.
The event kicks off on January 25 at 3 PM Eastern Time (ET) or at noon Pacific Time (PT), giving us a glimpse at games like "Forza Motorsport" and "Redfall." Microsoft also notes that the showcase includes updates on "The Elder Scrolls Online."
So if you are looking forward to any of these aforementioned gaming titles, you might not want to miss out on the upcoming Developer_Direct.
The showcase is streaming live on January 25 to various platforms, including the Twitch and YouTube channels of Bethesda and Xbox.
A Standalone Event for 'Starfield?'
While the event includes much-awaited games, "Starfield" is nowhere to be found. But the console maker says that it is getting a standalone event.
According to a report by GameSpot, the tech giant says that "Starfield" is launching in the first half of 2023 after its delay last year.
Despite that, the Bethesda game offering is skipping the January Developer Direct showcase. Instead, Microsoft explained that the upcoming game deserves its standalone show.
The tech giant disclosed that "a standalone show is in the works." The console maker says that this should essentially "dedicate the proper amount of time for a deep dive into Bethesda Game Studio' 'Starfield."
However, the renowned firm has yet to reveal when this standalone "Starfield" event is happening. But we should expect its debut sometime in the first half of 2023, which spans six more months from January to June.
So Microsoft still has copious time to work on the upcoming Bethesda gaming title. Game Sport notes its release will be the first-ever since Bethesda Game Studios debuted Fallout 76 last 2018.
But do note that two more games are also in the works. Bethesda is set to release the much-awaited "The Elder Scrolls 6" and "Fallout 5" after going over "Starfield."
Keep your tabs here at Tech Times to be updated on the upcoming standalone event that the Redmond firm is working on to showcase "Starfield." It might not take long before details about it see the light of day.
