In the previous CES, we saw that Google only introduced its next-gen handsets and smart gadgets. However, the search engine giant is not used to releasing software or products related to vehicles.
During the CES 2023, the company showed that it could present a powerful integration that's built around automobiles. With the Android Auto update launch, there are so many things to look out for.
Google Android Auto at CES 2023
According to a report by Engadget, Google has finally announced that it's collaborating with Spotify to bring a fresh set of features for Android Auto.
Regardless of the type of device you have, you can easily utilize this software with a twist for the new year.
Google showcased the Android Auto features in some of the vehicles in the tech show, including the Volvo EX90 and BMW i7.
From what we have seen, it receives a revamped interface with a split-screen layout and bigger screen sizes for users. While Google reportedly ditched the status bar, it finally added the shortcut keys below the indicator icons.

Seamless Streaming and More Improvements
Based on a report by Phone Arena, Google has lent a hand from Spotify to bring uninterrupted listening to all users. With the revamped Android Auto, you can stream your favorite songs in your car without any interruptions.
It's now made easier thanks to the Android 13 media player, which allows you to select devices where you want to play music.
As you go, you can enjoy in-car listening between your headphones and smartphones. If you think that you can't finish a podcast episode while on travel, you can still continue listening to it on your smart home TV.
As long as Android Auto is shared between several devices, you can easily switch from your tablet to your PC or any other device. Google says that YouTube Music features the same notification experience as Auto.
Apart from the new design for navigation and streaming, Google now puts Maps closer to the seat of the driver. This way, he/she can easily see the current route and landmarks on the map.
Following this update, there's also a revamped media card and a fast launcher for apps you have used recently.
That's not the only new feature for Android Auto. It's also integrated with Google Assistant to notify you about your departure time, reminders, and music access.
Soon enough, you can share your digital car keys across various smartphone brands, including Pixel, Xiaomi, Samsung, and even Apple's iPhone.
Currently, BMW is the only automobile with support for this, but the company says that the service will expand to other car brands in the future.
