Stan Lee Documentary
As fans commemorate Stan Lee's legacy on his 100th birthday today, Marvel Entertainment announced that a documentary featuring Lee's works and contribution to the whole cinematic universe will be launched in 2023.
Disney+ will be the exclusive streaming platform for the documentary. Lee was credited with co-creating the characters of Spider-Man, Iron Man, Black Panther, Ant-Man, X-Men, The Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Daredevil, Silver Surfer, Nick Fury, The Avengers, and more.
Although Marvel and Disney did not reveal any detailed information regarding this documentary, the studio released a teaser that featured his cameos in cinematic universe movies. Engadget reported that the documentary remains unclear to everyone regarding who will be involved in the documentary.
"100 years of dreaming. 100 years of creating. 100 years of Stan Lee," Marvel Entertainment stated along with the teaser.
Celebrating His 100th Birthday
Since his passing in 2018 at the age of 95, fans and several creators in the industry continue to celebrate his legendary work even up to this day. CBR reported some personalities who took to social media today to celebrate Lee's stories and art.
American filmmakers James Gunn and Kevin Smith are the ones who commemorated the comic book writer. Smith stated, "Thanks to making Mallrats with him, we actually became friends! I miss the old Man and his endless parade of smiles and good cheer."
Earlier this month, Marvel celebrated his legacy as the studio collaborated with artist Humberto Ramos. Lee was honored through Ramos' art, which shows the creator surrounded by some of his most creations in the universe.
Meanwhile, DC also celebrated Lee's works with "Tales From Earth-6: A Celebration of Stan Lee". The book anthology includes ten different stories for the comic book writer's versions of characters from the DC universe, such as Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
Wonder Woman Writer Stephanie Williams stated that working with Lee feels surreal. She added, "It's an honor to create things that offer audiences a range of emotions to experience, and I don't take it lightly. Now that I am on the side of creation, I take those words to heart even more and make sure I bring my best to everything I have the opportunity to work on."

As Disney Plus' debuted three years ago, the streaming platform became a place for several documentary projects, aside from its animated and iconic films.
For example, The Imagineering Store featured a six-part saga that took its viewers on the making of Walt Disney Imagineering. This was directed by Leslie Iwerks and narrated by Angela Bassett.
