Why WhatsApp Do This
According to Independent UK's latest report, WhatsApp is pulling out its support in older smartphone models for a reason.
"Devices and software change often, so we regularly review what operating systems we support and make updates," said WhatsApp.
The messaging app further explained that these handsets could lack the latest security updates, making them more vulnerable to cyberattacks.
WhatsApp added that by ceasing to support older devices, tech firms are encouraged to check the gadgets with the fewest number of users.
WhatsApp is still making drastic efforts to ensure the safety of its consumers and to enhance their experiences.
Previously, the WhatsApp View Once feature is reportedly arriving on Android devices.
We also reported that the new WhatsApp Message Yourself feature had been rolled out.
