LG will reportedly update its LG Wing and LG Velvet devices to Android 13 for 2023.
Since South Korean consumer electronics company LG announced its official departure from the smartphone business in April 2021. The tech company has pulled through with its promise of keeping its old smartphones up to date on Android, according to a past report from Tech Times.
Several eligible smartphones, including the LG G8X ThinQ, LG V50 ThinQ, LG V60, LG Wing, and LG Velvet, have received the release of Android 12 from the manufacturer this year.
Now, XDA-Developers reports that Android 13 is also compatible with the LG Wing and LG Velvet, and the firm has revealed its software upgrade schedule for the upcoming calendar year.

LG's Android 13 Roadmap
9to5Google reports that the upcoming Android updates scheduled for Q1 2023 have been confirmed by a roadmap just released to LG's website. Along with security updates for the LG Wing, LG Q61, LG Q92 5G, and LG Q52 5G, Android 13 has also been made available for the Velvet.
Before closing its mobile division, the company released its final flagship model, the LG Velvet. Only one other gadget, the LG Wing, which debuted a few months later, will also receive an Android 13 update. The upcoming Android update is likely the final major release of the platform in both of these situations.
The length of LG's security upgrades is still unknown. However, the firm did declare a "three-year pledge" in 2021, promising three significant OS updates for flagships introduced in 2019 and beyond. If everything goes as planned, that implies that the LG V60 ThinQ will also receive an upgrade. However, there was no mention of security fixes in that pledge.
