A viral TikTok video explained why a chin dimple is a very weird muscle.
Explaining peculiar stuff is no longer new in the giant social media platform.
Recently, numerous TikTok videos explained why some individuals tend to splint whenever they are pooping.
Now, another weird thing has been clarified Hank Green, a popular TikToker known for his biology educational videos.
[VIRAL] TikTok Video Explains Why Chin Dimple is a Weird Muscle
According to IFL Science's latest report, a TikTok user was curious why his chin makes dimples.
Green then stitched the video to answer the guy's question.
"You have identified correctly a weird muscle, well done," said Hank in his viral TikTok video.
Green stated that the chin makes dimples because it has the mentalis muscle, a pair of conical muscles that is found under your face's skin.
He said most muscles are connected to bones while others work all by themselves.

For example, your biceps are connected to your bones, allowing you to move your shoulders.
On the other hand, the heart is a muscle that works independently, yanking itself to send blood throughout your body.
The mentalis muscle differs from the heart and biceps since this tissue is connected to your skin.
It works by pulling your skin facial skin, allowing you to show your emotions.
TikTok Users are Surprised
Now that many people know how can show their emotions, they find it weird that they need to flex their muscles to move and change their facial expressions.
In the comment section, a TikTok user asked if he was the only one self-conscious after watching Hank's video.
"I am uncomfortable with what is in me and there is nothing I can do about it," said another TikTok user.
Aside from being connected to your skin, another weird thing about the mentalis muscle is that it has lots of tentacle-like fibers.
