Oppo is entertaining an all-glass device.

Oppo has revealed a new type of all-glass technology that might effectively replace metals. Although this hasn't been proven yet, the company entertained the concept and could work on it in the future.

Oppo Is Entertaining a New Phone Concept with Integrated Glass or All-Glass Unibody

Technology giant Oppo wants to change how people think about smartphones with their new concept phone, the Integrated Glass or All-Glass Unibody. It's a completely different approach to smartphone design that does away with metal frames and introduces an all-glass body instead.

The unique design also has a very important utilitarian purpose - it allows for a seamless and unified design that makes the phone look sleek and modern. An article by Giz China shares how the new technology could change the smartphone industry.

Phone Still has a USB-C Port Located on the Bottom Aside from Its Deep and Reflective Surfaces

The phone has a USB-C port on the bottom, as also noted by Notebook Check, but the most striking feature is its back, which has incredibly deep and reflective surfaces. This makes it look like liquid or even a kind of futuristic art.

It's a design decision that will surely appeal to many and will undoubtedly be appreciated by those looking to include a sense of modernity in their look and style.

Features and Specs of the Oppo Find X6 Remains Unkown as the Company is Yet to Announce the Model

Oppo also introduced smartwatches, headphones, and glasses with a similar all-glass design, thus showing that they're truly dedicated to making this all-glass unibody a reality. It isn't known yet if the upcoming Oppo Find X6, the Chinese brand's official flagship, will adopt this technology, but fans have hints of what design changes it might include.

The X6 looks to incorporate a larger rectangular module for the camera, which departs from the trapezoidal shape of previous Oppo devices. This module, which sits in the middle of the back surface, will sport a Hasselblad branding, hinting at Oppo's cooperation with the famed visual company.

The Oppo X6 Will Likely Use a Marisilicon Y Chip to Help Facilitate High-Quality Content

With the X6, Oppo will likely use the Marisilicon Y chip, a coprocessor designed to facilitate high-quality videos, photos, and other content.

Though it remains unknow yet if the Oppo Find X6 will come equipped with the all-glass unibody design, it seems clear that Oppo is looking to push the boundaries of smartphone design in all aspects. With their novel all-glass unibody concept, Oppo can bring to the traditional smartphone more imagination and creativity, and who knows, maybe one day, all of our devices will be made entirely of glass.

It Remains Unknown as to When the Oppo All-Glass Zero-Metal Smartphones Will Happen

Should Oppo effectively create an all-glass zero-metal smartphone, this would give the company a competitive advantage against others since there has not yet been a single all-glass smartphone.

However, it remains unknown how long the feature will take to develop or if it will ever come to fruition. Fans will still have to hold this loosely and wait for further updates from Oppo regarding the all-glass smartphones.
