"Star Wars Jedi: Survivor" sees a new leak before the upcoming speculated unveiling of the game to the public, and it centers on new gameplay for Cal Kestis as he returns for the continuation of his story. A leak from Daily Star Wars Games via Twitter talked about a pre-purchase bonus for Cal Kestis to arrive alongside the new game for early buyers.

It centers on a package that EA and Respawn will reward pre-orders of "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor" with a new set, one that will give a Combustion Blaster Set for Cal Kestis to use as an alternative weapon.

Back in the 2019 game, "Fallen Order" did not give its main character other weapons to wield or use against opposing forces, only resorting to his Force mastery and lightsaber to overpower enemies.

The bonus set also features Obi-Wan's "Hermit Cosmetic" suit which is fitting for a hiding Jedi, alongside a special skin for his main weapon, called the "Hermit Lightsaber."

Pre-Purchase Bonus Leak: Not Jedi-like for Cal Kestis

According to ComicBook Gaming, the new blaster weapon for Kestis will change the gameplay expected for the "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor," offering a different experience from the "Fallen Order."

And while there are Jedis using blasters alongside their lightsabers, people are more accustomed to seeing the Force masters wield their space guns before they become Jedi Knights or Masters.

Most Jedi Masters resort to only using their lightsabers or the Force as their main weapon in the movies and series.

'Star Wars Jedi's' Franchise from EA and Respawn

The famous "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order" game from 2019 is considered to be one of the franchise's best titles in its modern releases, centering on an untold side story of a Jedi Padawan named Cal Kestis.

People praised Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts' take on this "Star Wars" story as it is unique and in-depth to the character's struggles and survival.

Cal Kestis's quest to learn more about the Force and survive in a universe where the Imperial force aims to hunt down and destroy all Jedis became its main selling point, one where gamers demanded a sequel.

Good thing is that the gaming companies have decided to develop more games for the franchise, centering on the further adventures and quests for Kestis to fulfill, undertaking the mission as a Jedi. A sequel game is coming, and initial speculations center on 2023 for the game's arrival, with the team allegedly facing delays for its supposed 2022 availability.

It is unknown what its development status is now, especially as there were no announcements regarding the title, nor a confirmation of the game reveal trailer coming this month.

However, the recent hint to its gameplay centers on a new weapon for Cal Kestis, soon wielding a blaster that will arrive via the pre-purchase bonus, alongside his main lightsaber.
