Riot Games has released a new game mode for Valorant called Swiftplay.
It is supposed to allow players to complete the whole Valorant experience in a far shorter period of time than was previously possible, as reported by Forbes.
Game Modes
Swiftplay will join the existing game modes in Valorant's library: Unrated, Competitive, Spike Rush, Deathmatch, Escalation, Replication, and Custom Game.
However, there has been no official word on whether it would replace any current game modes or not, according to Sportskeeda.
As it is, players have to dedicate roughly 40 minutes to play Valorant's primary game modes, Competitive and Unrated.
That is because even though there are a number of game modes that enable gamers to play in a shorter length of time, the mechanics are not comparable to the standard matches.
Swiftplay consolidates this kind of competition down to a best-of-nine, where the victorious side is the first to win five consecutive rounds.

The Gameplay
The game mechanics are identical to the standard Valorant mode, with two teams of five competing. One team is on offense, and the other is on defense.
The halves each consist of four rounds, with the possibility of a fifth sudden-death round if the score reaches 4-4.
The attackers may win if they plant and detonate the spike or kill all the defenders. The defenders may win if they kill all the attackers, defuse the spike, or let the time run out without allowing the other team to plant the spike.
Since there are only four rounds in each half, the game's economy and ultimate points have been adjusted so that players may still access and utilize the game's many enjoyable skills and weaponry.
A player will earn a predetermined number of credits at the beginning of each round and a 600-credit bonus for winning the pistol round. They will also get two free ultimate points at the beginning of each half, making it simpler to acquire their character's strongest skills.
Assuming the spike plant and kill bonuses stay the same, they should have enough money after a few rounds to be fully equipped for the remainder of the half.
5.12 Patch Update
On Tuesday, Dec. 6, patch 5.12 will go live with Swiftplay, allowing gamers to play on all unrated maps.
Riot Games estimates that this game will take approximately 15 minutes to complete, so it is perfect for players searching for a method to get the entire experience in a shorter length of time.
Valorant fans are encouraged to try this game mode before Jan. 10. Since it is just in beta at the moment, Riot Games will likely be taken it down by that time.
In addition to introducing a new game mode, the forthcoming 5.12 patch update will include substantial changes to its French agent.
As reported by Tech Times based on Riot Games' patch notes for the 5.12 release, Valorant agent Chamber will undergo another massive revamp. Notably, he has been nerfed for the second time this year to make him a less desirable selection.
