All 'Diablo IV' Classes Revealed: Crossplay in the Way?

Check out the five classes for "Diablo IV."

The developers of "Diablo IV" have already announced that the game is confirmed to launch in 2022. The different classes players can choose from have been revealed ahead of the launch.

All 'Diablo IV' Classes have been Revealed

An article by Win.gg shares the different "Diablo IV" classes players can choose from, but it seems like not everything is known as of this moment. So far, the game has confirmed that it will come with five different class choices.

All the classes were not revealed at once, and it took three different events for the full list of characters to be revealed. The first mention of the first three classes came earlier during BlizzCon 2019 when a full panel discussed the upcoming "Diablo IV."

The First Three Classes Revealed During BlizzCon 2019: Barbarian, Sorceress, and Druid

Only three classes were revealed during the event, including a Barbarian, Sorceress, and Druid, and their respective descriptions. Each class had its own unique abilities making them different from other classes.

The Barbarian class reportedly allowed users to switch between weapons while engaging in combat. This could provide interesting gameplay dynamics as players can switch weapons to find the most lethal combination for the opponents they are fighting.

The Sorceress class circles around an elemental mage that are blessed with the power of fire and lightning magic. To cause complete havoc in the game, the mage can unleash AoE attacks to level armies of fiends.

The Druid class is a shapeshifting class where players can change into a bear or wolf. On top of this, players can control storm magic, giving them a good balance of brute strength, cunningness, and magic.

The Rogue was Revealed During Blizzcon 2021, Showing a Quick-Moving Class of Warriors

All the classes were available in "Diablo 2," but it was unclear how faithful the new classes would be to the previous game's version of them. The Barbarian was also available in "Diablo 3."

The next Diablo class was revealed during Blizzcon 2021, which introduced the Rogue. The Rogue class comprises fast movements and fighters on the edge of melee and ranged attacks combining strength and agility at once.

The Necromancer was Revealed Once Again

The last class was revealed in 2022 with a cinematic trailer introducing the Necromancer, which was also available in the last two "Diablo" installments. As seen in the trailer, there's something sinister about this class, as it uses dark magic to deal damage.

Crossplay Announcement for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox

Finally, word of a crossplay got out and confirmed that players could engage with each other no matter their device through multiplayer mode. The game is designed to be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Blizzard has also announced that "Diablo 4" is expected in the winter of 2023, although no specific release date was announced. The game will be the first-ever open-world game within the "Diablo" series.
