PlayStation Plus Premium is set to add the "Star Wars Battlefront" PSP Version to its classic title after its listing briefly appeared at the Sony PS Store.
So while Sony has yet to announce its arrival to the PS Plus Classics, it might not be long before this PSP game sees the shimmer of the spotlight again.
PlayStation Plus Premium is Likely Adding 'Star Wars Battlefront' PSP Version This December
As per the latest news story by PlayStation Lifestyle, "Star Wars Battlefront II" for PSP is potentially on its way to the classic library of PS Plus Premium, the gaming subscription service of Sony.
The speculation suggesting its arrival to the gaming service comes after it briefly appeared on the website of the PS Store, the media store for PlayStation gamers.
It is worth noting that the appearance of the Star Wars PSP game at the PS Store did not last long. It seems that Sony took it down after realizing the listing has been made publicly.
However, PlayStation LifeStyle reports that Gematsu was fast enough to take a screenshot of the listing before it vanished into thin air.
'Star Wars Battlefront II' PSP Version PS Store Listing (Now Deleted)
The now-deleted PS Store listing of the "Star Wars Battlefront II" states that it originally debuted on PlayStation Portable (PSP) nearly two decades ago or way back in 2005.
The page went on to say that the PSP version has been "enhanced with up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters," according to a report by Video Games Chronicle.
Furthermore, the listing says that the classic Star Wars title has been converted from the PSP (PlayStation Portable) version to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5." And as such, the game now offers new features. However, the PS Store website kept mum about these fresh offerings.
Given that the game originally debuted for PSP, some of the features of the Star Wars game might not work as expected. On top of that, the listing also warned that "there may be times when the title plays differently from the PSP version."
It is worth noting that the PS Store listing of the PSP classical title did not reveal its release date. However, PlayStation Lifestyle suggests that it might see the light of the day before Christmas day or on December 20, to be more exact.
But given that Sony took down the listing immediately, it might be some sort of mistake.
