Twitter is not safe under Elon Musk, the former Trust and Safety head of the social network, Yoel Roth, now says.
It is worth noting that the ex-Twitter exec previously felt the opposite when Musk initially took over the microblogging platform. But this time, Roth now believes otherwise.
Twitter is NOT Safer Under Elon Musk, Says Ex-Trust & Safety Chief
Roth used to be the main guy that ensured trust and safety in the giant social media service, as per the latest report by Business Insider. He even previously stated that the ultra-rich billionaire makes Twitter much safer.
But two weeks after the new Chief Twit took over the platform, he decided to bid farewell. According to a news story by The Verge, Roth changed his bio to "Former Head of Trust & Safety," which confirmed that he is no longer working for Musk.
And now, he feels that the social media service is not safer under the new leadership.
The former Twitter safety chief recently spoke at the Knight Foundation "Informed" conference on November 29. He shared that he believes that there are not enough employees on the platform that actually understand both trust and safety.
He went on to note that "you can't rest on your laurels when it comes to that." He believes that "you can't automate it."
"There is no 'set it and forget it' when it comes to trust and safety," the ex-Twitter exec says.

Roth Previously Thinks Twitter is Safer Under Musk
Business Insider highlights that the former Twitter exec previously wrote an opinion piece in the New York Times, wherein he stated that the platform is safer under the new leadership.
Roth says in his op-ed piece last November 18 that the social network is much safer with Musk around "by some measures."
The Verge notes in its report that Roth is the poster guy when it comes to timely updates regarding the changes in the platform when Musk took over. He shared developments in impersonation, harassment, and verification.
The former Twitter Trust and Safety chief touted that their handling of the troll campaign on the platform was effective. And as such, he explained that it made him quite optimistic at first amid Musk's takeover.
Now, the ex-Twitter exec slammed the recent move of the platform to forego its COVID-19 misleading policy. He went on to criticize it, saying that it is "really bad and damaging."
