BEWARE: TikTok Malware Claiming to 'Unfilter' Explicit 'Invisible Challenge' Actually Steals Credentials, Info

There's no such thing as unfilter, only those wanting to steal your credentials.

For people wanting to uncover or unfilter the famous TikTok challenge via software that claims that it can expose explicit content online, be vigilant as it is a fake says, security researchers. This particular software does not only have access or a way to reverse this filter, but it also masquerades as malware waiting for users to enter their login credentials and steal their personal information online.

TikTok's "Invisible Challenge" is a trend on the video-sharing platform where users can make their bodies disappear or camouflage behind certain colors where they can control the areas that stay seen or hidden.

A security research firm called Checkmarx recently discovered malware that promises thirsty users that this software can "unfilter" or reverse the online trends to uncover what is the actual content underneath. Instead of finding a legit software that can do this, the researchers discovered that it contains malware that can steal people's information in the process.

It promises to show explicit images or videos of people doing the "Invisible Challenge" trend, where some content creators allegedly pose nude on the video and use the filter to hide their bodies.

Nevertheless, this software steals people's login credentials, credit card information, and other sensitive data that could ultimately lead to losing access to their accounts and theft.

TikTok's Invisible Challenge: What Is It?

The #InvisibleChallenge on TikTok is a viral trend that can make a person's body parts or items disappear using a filter readily available on the social media platform. Users use this filter to join the thread and do their most creative tactic to make something disappear.

While others use this innocently, some TikTok users use this filter to cover their explicit body parts, and not get seen doing it.

TikTok and its Peculiar Trends

TikTok is a place where random videos get viral or regular ones to start a trend on the platform that the whole world gets on and trump each other's content with their unique takes on the experience. One viral video on TikTok saw a person using a punch-clock system which divided the community regarding the old-school system's use.

Like in many social media platforms, people engaging in a novel way or interesting activity online gets the attention of the public, from the simple to most complex topics online.

People are getting massive views and interactions on their online content centering on AI filter trends where they change images into generated art on the platform in a creative way. Some use their "spicy" images or clips in doing so but cover it in a way that the art is the most noticeable and only visible thing that the public would see.

In this age where everything can get reversed through the use of intricate systems and AI, it is not ideal to show one's explicit content online without people trying to uncover them. However, the recent unfilter software is not a real thing, and it spreads around with malware that will take one's personal information instead of what it promises.
