Twitter, which Elon Musk now owns, is reportedly having some issues paying the United Kingdom and Germany employees their salaries on time.
The giant social network is now looking into the issue, wherein some European workers failed to receive their payout on the date that they were supposed to get it.
Twitter's Salaries for UK and Germany Employees Are Reportedly Delayed
As per the latest report by Arstechnica, some employees of Twitter who are based in Europe did not get their paychecks on time.
And as such, the Musk-owned social network is now investigating why some of its payrolls have been delayed.
It is worth noting that Twitter told its UK employees via email last November 25 that they would get their hands on their salary on November 28.
But despite that, it looks like its staffers in the UK and Germany failed to receive their salaries on the said date.
However, it seems that employees in other European locations got their hands on their paychecks on time. It means that folks from Ireland and the Netherlands receive their salaries on the date that they should have gotten them.
On the other hand, Arstechnica notes in its report that it has reached out to four sources close to the matter. And it appears that employees in the UK and Germany have to get their hands on their paychecks.
Twitter Investigates Late Paychecks to Some Europe Staffers
Former and current employees of Twitter reportedly received an email, saying that the tech giant is investigating alleged delayed paychecks.
The email reads: "It has come to our attention that some of you may not have received your November 2022 salary yet in your bank account."
However, the social network says that "the payments have gone through our Twitter bank account, and as usual, with no change to the process."
On top of that, the tech firm told its employees that there "might be a delay in Interbank settlement."
According to a recent report by Business Insider, a bulk of finance department employees have left Twitter amid the takeover of the new Chief Twit, Musk.
And it turns out that employees that have resigned include folks from the payroll department of the tech giant.
The resignation of these finance staffers comes amid the proposed Twitter 2.0 of Musk, asking employees to work "extremely hardcore."
