Victims of the Apple Store Derby Street
Rein claimed that this was an accident, as after he went shopping, he browsed Derby Street's complex where the Apple Store is located, and that was when his foot got stuck on the accelerator, causing the massive incident.
Initial investigations and eyewitness accounts claimed that Rein was traveling at least 60 miles per hour when his vehicle came crashing into the store.
New Jersey resident, Kevin Bradley, 65, was pronounced dead on the scene by first responders.
There were at least 20 more injured in this crash, with doctors claiming that there are several who received life-threatening injuries, with some receiving head trauma, mangled limbs, and a victim pinned against the wall.
Apple Stores
Apple takes pride in making its official, physical stores all over the world with its signature minimalist design, one that exudes luxury and style to invite people in and have them marvel at the company's technology. The company centers on a showroom for its devices, with some equipped with Genius Bars to accommodate repairs and more.
It faced several crimes against it in the many years of operations, and one would be people breaking windows and doors to loot the company, masquerading as protestors for George Floyd's unlawful killing.
For all the petty crimes of stealing and looting the company, as well as people threatening its staff, this recent incident is one of the most unimaginable, especially in endangering the lives of everyone inside. Both customers and staff involved in the recent incident are now in the stage of recovery after Rein's crash, leaving them scarred for life.
The suspect's accident which he claims is something unfortunate and pleads not guilty to will soon go to trial, to know more about what happened and discover the root of this incident. Rein sticks to his case, claiming that his foot got stuck on the accelerator which caused him to drive towards the Apple Store, having no chance to brake and prevent it from happening.
