Elon Musk: Asked Software Engineers via e-mail to Report to Twitter HQ to Understand Tech, Despite Closed Offices

The emails were confusing as it is known that the company's offices are to close until Monday.

Elon Musk recently sent an e-mail to the software engineers of the company and asked anyone available to report to its San Fransisco headquarters to help him "better understand" Twitter. The tech CEO wants anyone available to head towards the office to have an after-hours session to talk about Twitter's codes, particularly in its tech stack.

There are current reports regarding Twitter's shutdown, particularly under its leadership with Elon Musk which changed the platform significantly, seeing chaos in its current operations.

Chief Twit sent mixed signals to Twitter employees earlier, and it is because he previously announced that the company will close its San Fransisco headquarters, to open by next week Monday. However, according to an internal e-mail from the Twitter CEO (obtained by CNBC), he seeks the help of "anyone who writes software" within the company to report to the office.

The initial e-mail wanted the employee to report to the 10th-floor office, earlier this afternoon but required them to reply with bullet points before heading to the SF HQ.

In another e-mail, Musk requires all to report to him, even those remotely working to face him via video. Musk said that these will be short and technical interviews to help him "better understand the Twitter tech stack."

Is Twitter Failing? Elon Musk Wants Help on Company

On the other hand, Business Insider also claimed these three emails pertained to asking employees to report to Twitter, and asking others to fly in and report to the HQ in person, as stated in the third and last e-mail.

It is unknown why Musk asked these employees to fly in and report in person to the HQ, but there are speculations regarding the company soon shutting down, especially with the latest trending hashtag, "#RIPTwitter."

Elon Musk and Twitter's Operations

Since Elon Musk's patronage of the famous short word social media platform, there have been significant changes to the platform which centers on giving power to the people, also focusing on free speech. Musk's goal was to bring Twitter's former glory where it was a decentralized platform, also operating as a private entity for freedom within its boundaries.

However, the company faced a massive loss in users since Musk stepped in, those already doubting that Twitter will be the platform they once enjoyed, saw as many as 1.3 million subscribers bidding farewell. This contradicts the top billionaire's latest claims online, saying that a Twitter milestone was hit and it was an mDAU record, the largest in its history.

Not to mention, the company's new policy regarding an $8 verification subscription for those wanting to receive the blue checkmark verification, which faced significant problems with fake accounts.

With Twitter seeing significant problems in the present, as well as disputes from the public, it may be experiencing hardships in maintaining users on the platform, as well as not knowing the next steps for it. It may be the reason behind Musk contacting the software engineers, one that cannot wait until Monday, its official reopening to its employees.
