The Honor 80 will be making its final big move on November 23. The former sub-brand of Huawei has started to establish a good market presence and now, the Honor 80 will come with the Snapdragon 782 SoC.
Honor Announces the Honor 80 Series to Come with the New Snapdragon 7 Series Chipset
Honor will be announcing the Honor 80 series as leaks are starting to spread of the upcoming device as seen on GSM Arena. The upcoming smartphone will be packing a new Snapdragon 7 series chipset called the Snapdragon 782G.
This processor could appear during the Snapdragon Summit. Its revelation could come amid the announcement of a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
The New Chips to be Included are the Snapdragon 782G SoC and the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
According to the story by Giz China, it was also confirmed that the Honor 80 Pro will be packing the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Unfortunately, there is still not a lot known about the upcoming Snapdragon 782G SoC by Qualcomm.
The new Snapdragon 782 SoC could be a replacement for the Snapdragon 780 5G which has disappeared amid the semiconductor market crisis. The article notes that they expect the new chip to be above the 778G series chip.
No Clear Difference Between the Snapdragon 782 SoC and the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 have been Revealed
The main difference between the new Snapdragon 782 SoC and the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 remain unclear. However, it is also interesting to see the company launch a new Snapdragon 782G chip since the brand has just made a move towards the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 series.
The public might reportedly see a minor improvement or re-launch in the chips. The re-launch could be one that does not deserve to be included in the new Gen series.
Honor 80 SoC Specs Revealed: ARM Chips, Cores, and Variations
The Honor 80 SoC specs, as noted in an article by Deal N Tech, remain unclear but one thing that is for sure is that it will be something with 6nm or 6nm manufacturing. Buyers can also expect 4 x ARM Cortex-A78 cores along with 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores for the chip.
The article by Giz China notes that they do not expect the new chipset to have the same flavor as the ARMv9. Their expectations is that the Adreno 642 or a new variation will help them take the helm of different tasks when it comes to graphics.

New Snapdragon 782G Chip to Probably Make the 778 Series New Again
The Snapdragon 782G will probably make the Snapdragon 778 series new once more. This will allow the company to continue selling the chips for yet another year.
With this being said, the Honor 80 could come with an incremental upgrade when it comes to performance compared to its predecessors. The Honor 80 Pro will be able to perform just like any other true flagship.
It was noted that it will also bring the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 which will no longer be considered cutting-edge technology.
