iPhone 14's Emergency SOS via satellite feature is now expanding to new countries.
This means that more users will be able to take advantage of this advanced functionality.
On Nov. 15, Apple announced that the Emergency SOS via satellite feature has finally rolled out in the United States and Canada.
Aside from this, the tech giant manufacturer also confirmed that additional countries are expected to receive this feature before 2022 ends.
iPhone 14 Emergency SOS via Satellite to Reach More Countries
According to MacRumors' latest report, the advanced Emergency SOS via satellite enhancement will arrive in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, as well as France.
The giant iPhone maker confirmed that these four additional countries would receive the iPhone 14 feature as early as December.
But, Apple didn't confirm the exact date of the feature's rollout in those countries.
"Emergency SOS via satellite is available in the US and Canada starting Tuesday, Nov. 15, and will come to France, Germany, Ireland, and the UK in December," said Apple via its official Newsroom report.
If your country is not yet included, then the best thing you can do is wait for Apple's further announcement since the company said that the feature will arrive in more regions in 2023.
Why Emergency SOS via Satellite is a Big Deal
Apple's Worldwide Marketing Senior Vice President Greg Joswiak said that most of the popular places lack cellular coverage.
This is true since tourist spots are usually located in areas where there's no signal, such as forests, beaches, mountains, etc.
He added that the new Emergency SOS via satellite feature would allow iPhone 14 users to enjoy their travels without worrying about losing signal while they are off the grid.
