How to Update Your AirTag to the Latest Firmware Version?

Since it's always a surprise for every AirTag user to see the newest firmware update for their tracking wearable, there's no telling how to manually update this device to the latest version.

As iMore reports, there is no exact way to do this. The most ideal thing you need to do is to make sure that your AirTag is near your iPhone so the update will push through.

However, there's a way to check if the firmware version is up and running on your AirTag. First, you need to open your Find My App from your iPhone. Then, click on the Items tab. From here, select the AirTag you wish to update, and don't forget to specify its name on your device.

At the same time, Apple has reportedly released firmware updates to AirPods Max, AirPods Pro, and the standard AirPods, as well on the same date.

Why Are Apple's AirTags Essential For Your Travel?

Some people still doubted that the AirTags could spark some privacy issues because they could stalk an individual without them knowing. However, it offers more than locating your missing items.

According to CNET, these items are often the subject of controversy involving stalkers. For frequent travelers, it's as important as what's inside your baggage.

There are several reports that AirTags have helped the explorers retrieve their lost gadgets on board the plane or at the airport.

There's another issue why other people don't use AirTags. In fear of catching fire, they refrain from using them because they have lithium batteries.
