Razer has unveiled another gaming controller for PC and PS5. With the recent launch of Wolverine V2 Pro, gamers have another option to choose to revamp their gaming experience.
Its stylish design and heavy-duty features come with a price you wouldn't expect. If you want to know more about this newest gaming accessory, here's everything you need to know.
Why Razer Wolverine V2 Pro is a Must Grab
According to Venturebeat, the new Razer PS5 controller is designed for mid-to-hardcore console gaming in the esports industry. Whether for casual or competitive gaming, the customizable Wolverine V2 Pro is here to stay for everyone.
Razer says this new gaming controller boasts Mecha-Tactile buttons that you can freely remap. This also applies to other multi-function buttons.
By remapping the buttons, you won't need to go through the chore of tweaking your settings for further adjustments. Aside from that, Razer is proudly bringing HyperTrigger Tech, which sounds similar to the haptic trigger of DualSense.
As expected, the Wolverine V2 Pro is packed with the usual features, such as a mic and USB-C support, as well as the buttons and touchpad.
To elevate the gaming performance, Razer adds Hyperspeed Wireless for low-latency gaming. The same feature is attached to the popular gaming mouse of the company.
For FPS gamers who want to react fast against their enemies, the HyperTrigger will do the thing for you. It enables you to quickfire your projectiles through your mouse button.
For avid fans of fighting games, there's an eight-way microswitch D-Pad that you can maneuver for more precise and smoother character control.

What's the Catch With Razer Wolverine V2 Pro?
According to Slash Gear, the controller needs a companion USB dongle for connection since it won't connect over Bluetooth if you want to activate it in your PS5.
Compared to Sony's PS5 DualSense, the joysticks of this controller might be similar to the location of the joysticks from an Xbox console. You will quickly notice that the left stick is placed higher than its right counterpart.
Apart from that, the Razer controller does not have the same capability as Sony's adaptive trigger, but it has HyperTrigger tech, which was mentioned a while ago.
All in all, it's still a premium controller for collectors and gamers. At this point, Razer confirms that the pre-order for the Wolverine V2 Pro is now open. Before that, you need to pay $249.99, which is quite more expensive compared to the latest DualSense Edge controller, which was released earlier this year. The latter is cheaper at $199.99.
Regardless of the differences in the pricing, it will still be up to the buyer's preference. If you are practical, you can opt for Sony's controller, but if you are looking for a new thrill in gaming, then Razer's Wolverine V2 Pro is the most suited for you.
