Twitter saw a massive milestone it achieved in the first week since Elon Musk took over the platform, and the volume of its daily user growth hit an all-time high and broke its records. The short word social media is now a controversial platform due to Musk's free speech and power to the people which centers on the $8 monthly verification subscription for all.
However, many pulled out or deactivated their Twitter account in retaliation to his arrival, especially advertisers who do not approve of his takeover.
Twitter All-Time-High on Daily User Growth, Usage
Elon Musk is celebrating with the Twitter world, particularly as there is an all-time-high usage for the platform, as well as the daily user growth of the short word social media. In his tweet, he said that its usage is seeing many people centering on its use, also regarding that the servers do not melt due to this high volume.
Twitter users saw a massive surge in mDAU or monetizable daily user growth, a figure which shot up more than 20 percent or more than 15 million mDAUs as per The Verge.
It is a massive milestone for Twitter, especially as many left the platform since Musk took up the leadership role and enforced changes on its subscriptions.
Twitter Advertisers to Come Back?
The question left now is for the advertisers who left the company due to Musk's takeover and seeing as this is a crucial time for the platform where more users are utilizing its offers and features. Advertisers will surely see a massive high with the significant growth in the mDAUs, but will it be enough reason for them to go under the Musk-ruled platform?
Twitter and Elon Musk
Since Elon Musk's takeover of the social media company, there have been massive changes in its operations and products available to the public. One of the changes includes the massive layoffs of the company which allegedly kicked off former employees from its operations as they lose $4 million daily.
Moreover, the tech CEO justified the layoffs of the company, and it comes alongside the massive changes in other tech companies, but is under a microscope due to Musk's takeover.
Still, one of the most controversial events on social media during Musk's first week was the $8 monthly subscription which requires all verified users to pay to continue getting the blue check.
The new program under Twitter Blue centers on the "power to the people," a campaign that Chief Twit pushes for to give the public a sense of ownership of the platform.
Free speech, the monthly subscription, and Twitter's newfound fame are only the beginning of the Musk-era short-word social media, particularly with his goals to turn it decentralized and private again. Now, it is seeing a massive return on users, with many using the platform on a daily basis, but not so much for the lost advertisers.
