'The Last of Us' Multiplayer'

According to the recent news story by Games Radar, the upcoming "The Last of Us" multiplayer gaming title is likely to be a free-to-play offering. Well, that is the closest assumption based on its early job listings.

A Reddit user discovered that the developer of the upcoming multiplayer title is looking for a "producer - live ops." The listing further suggests what the "The Last of Us" Multiplayer game is shaping to be.

The job listing is looking for candidates who flaunt experience "in a production role supporting a AAA, free to play, live title." However, it is worth noting that it did not specifically identify which Naughty Dog game was it for.

But despite that, Games Radar assumes that it is the upcoming multiplayer game of "The Last of Us."

It is worth mentioning that the co-president of Naughty Dog, Neil Druckmann, announced the multiplayer offering during the Summer Games Fest 2022 event last June 9.

The big boss of the gaming firm revealed during the event that "what started as a multiplayer mode has evolved due to the team's ambition."

He went on to note that "this game is big. It's as big as any of our single-player games, and in some ways bigger."

As per the latest report by PlayStation Lifestyle, Howard joined the development of the upcoming standalone game under "The Last of Us" series.

Given that early rumors point out that the upcoming title is set to be free-to-play. It appears that Naughty Dog is now working on how to monetize the game.

The "Fortnite" Battle Pass designer confirmed on his LinkedIn account that he now sits as the Principal Monetization Designer of Naughty Dog. His update revealed that he started his new role this November.

PlayStation Lifestyle suggests that Howard might have some sort of Battle Pass system in mind for the rumored free-to-play game.

Meanwhile, he left Ubisoft after his ten-month stint as Lead System Designer last October.
