This is a major change since the broadband provider hasn't allowed its consumers to try its services for free.

As of writing, not all telecom companies offer free trials, including AT&T. However, the company wants to change this.

AT&T announced that its prepaid subsidiary brand, Cricket, will make this a possibility.

Thanks to Cricket's new app called "tryCricket," consumers with unlocked iPhones can avail of the telco giant's free trials.

One of the things that make it different from other companies is that this app removes the need for credit card details.

Thanks to this, iPhone owners no longer need to provide their credit card information.

But there are still some requirements. Aside from getting your iPhone unlocked, you also need to have iOS 15 or other newer versions.

If you already have these, by installing the new tryCricket app from the Apple App Store. For new iPhone models, Cricket offers eSIM so they can try AT&T's free trials.

Those who have older iOS smartphones will be provided with a virtual SIM card. When it comes to perks, interested consumers can try AT&T's service for free within 14 days.

They can also take advantage of the company's offered 3GB of data, as well as 5G access.

How to Unlock iPhone?

Apple's official Support website explained how consumers could unlock their iPhones.

When you say unlocked iPhone, your iOS smartphone can now take advantage of multiple carriers.

To check if your iPhone is already unlocked, you can visit the device's Settings and click the General section. After that, choose the About button.

If your device says "No SIM Restrictions," your iPhone is already unlocked. If not, you need to contact your carrier to unlock your handset (they are the only ones who can do that).

Aside from the new tryCricket app, AT&T also makes other efforts to enhance its consumers' experiences.

These include allowing AT&T users to purchase Google Pixel 6 devices online easily.

AT&T's new list of devices of consumers who can get the 5G network update was also unveiled.
