The new Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G smartphone's global variant has been able to bag much-needed certificates for a global launch. The model was spotted on the FCC and IMEI websites before its launch.
Redmi Note 12 Series Launched in October for the Chinese Market
According to the story by Giz China, the Redmi Note 12 series originally launched last month in the Chinese market. The company has already launched four different Note series phones within the country, including the Note 12, the Note 12 Pro, the Note 12 Pro+, and its more premium option, the Note 12 Pro Explorer Edition.
Kacper Skrzypek, an MIUI tester, claims that the company will launch the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G smartphones in India as the Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge. The Indian variant could also have different specs than the original Chinese version.
Note 12 Series Phones to Launch Into the Global Market Some Time in 2023
However, a report by 91mobiles suggests that the upcoming global variants could use the same codename as the Chinese model, Ruby. This means that the devices could also be the same in specs.
Giz China notes that the company is getting ready to launch the Note 12 series phones into a more global market sometime next year. This includes India.

In the meantime, the new Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G global variant has been seen on the FCC and IMEI websites. The smartphone was spotted on the FCC website with the model number 22101316UG.
The FCC listing also suggests that the upcoming smartphone will use MIUI 14 to run it. The listing, however, does not confirm whether the smartphone will be packaging the Android 13 operating system out of the box.

Redmi Note 12 Series is Most Likely to Support 210W Fast Charging Tech
The smartphone can also be seen on the IMEI database confirming the global variant's model number and moniker. The Redmi Note 12 series has already gotten 3C approval from China, and the new Note 12 Pro+ is most likely to support its 210W fast charging technology.
The FCC and IMEI listings did not provide key specifications regarding the upcoming smartphone. What's known about the release date of the Note 12 Pro+ 5G is that it is set to launch in January or February 2023 in India.
Buyers will have to Wait Until It Officially Launches to See If It is the Same With the Chinese Version
It will also be interesting to see whether a new Indian variant will come with different specs or if it will indeed come with the exact same specs as its Chinese counterpart. This still remains to be seen and buyers will have to wait for either official confirmation of the company or until the global variant will officially launch around the world.
