Adafruit made a new special "Doom" game that plays in the most unimaginable places, and this new development is called the "Candy of Doom." Guessed it yet? Well, it is a "Doom" game on a tiny screen that is fitted in the middle of a Milky Way candy bar, which takes the literal essence of Halloween's "trick or treat."
The new tweak to the candy bar is giving gamers a treat, especially as it takes "Doom" gaming to a whole new level, courtesy of the famed company and YouTube channel.
Adafruit's 'Candy of Doom' is a Milky Way with a Game
Adafruit released a video on its YouTube channel and the first thing it said is a beware message to parents, especially as it housed a "Doom" game inside a Milky Way chocolate bar. The famous candy bar houses not only a caramel-filled surprise but also a small screen that is capable to run a game right in the package.
The company did not dwell much on how they made the Candy of Doom, but it may run on their preferred small single-board computer device which it uses for different innovations, the Raspberry Pi.
After opening the candy wrapper, it surprises the recipient with a massive screen in the center, housing a screen that runs the original "Doom" game.
Different retrofits for the "Doom" game are available from users worldwide, with some using potatoes to power the device to play it, or using Notepad to run the famed id Software and Bethesda game.
Adafruit's Halloween 2022 Offers For All
Halloween 2022 is fast approaching, and with only a couple of days before the famed celebration of the spooky season, Adafruit offers a massive selection from its catalog for gift ideas for the festivities. The company presents different DIY items that users may wear for the Halloween season to complete their look, and it is an inexpensive way to upgrade their costumes by next Monday.
Adafruit's Famous Invention
Limor Fried is the founder of Adafruit, and back in 2015, she debuted the company to deliver all sorts of novelties that can fulfill one's hobby, without the need to DIY for the public. Different technology and items were transformed into electronic hobbyists' wildest dreams, especially when retrofitting different devices in the most unimaginable items.
Still, other offers from Adafruit center on DIY kits for users which they may transform into whatever they like, something that will give the public multiple options for their needs.
One of the most famous techs which Adafruit utilizes is the Raspberry Pi, and it is the famed single-board computer that is small and can fit tiny devices. The company once made a MAME arcade cabinet that is significantly smaller than the original one, debuting a new age in arcade development that allows people to bring it anywhere.
Now, it takes their wild inventions to the next level and puts them inside a Milky Way candy bar with the famous game that they retrofit in different items. The Halloween season is coming up, and there are different novelty items from Adafruit available to all, and this Candy of Doom is one special gift with a surprise inside, but be careful who you give it to, to avoid any unwanted stomachaches.
