China has successfully tested a working Hyperloop-like train system that uses magnetic levitation (maglev) to transport its pods in vacuum-sealed tubes with little to no air resistance. It is already a working prototype in Northern China, specifically in the Shanxi province, which delivers a high-speed transportation system for humans and cargo.
Hyperloop was first introduced by Elon Musk in 2012, and plans to do one in the United States with The Boring Company to deliver on the experience.
China Successfully Tested a Vacuum-Sealed Hyperloop-like System
According to China Daily, the North University of China and Third Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corp. successfully tested its working prototype of the new train system that resembles Elon Musk's idea called the "Hyperloop."
These trains would travel on a vacuum-sealed tube where there is little to no air resistance giving it the maximum velocity it needs to transport passengers and cargo at high speeds.
The test tubes for the project already run 1.25 miles (2 kilometers) on its Datong test line, achieving speeds of up to 80 miles per hour (130 kph).
It also centers on maglev to propel the trains to move, with the famed magnetic force pushing and pulling the travel pods to shoot its way onto the tubes that reach adequate speeds for now.
China Went Ahead of Elon Musk, The Boring Co.'s Idea
Musk planned the Hyperloop for The Boring Company to connect Los Angeles and San Fransisco in tubes powered by magnets.
China's successful test is a testament to its advancement of the project, which will now focus on expanding its test tubes to 37 miles long, aiming to deliver new top speeds of up to 621 miles per hour.
Technological Advancements in China
There are multiple reports on China's advancements in their technology, with many ventures that the Asian country makes back in the Eastern hemisphere that astonish the world. The United States is intent on its campaign to hinder this via many restrictions and bans that it imposed on Asian country that prevents its access to technology.
Different advancements are already available from China, may it be for the country's defense with new battle tanks for its military, CNSA's rockets for space ventures, energy solutions, and more developments.
It is no doubt that China is a superpower now, and its advancements bring the country to greater heights, one that can compete with any global leader in the tech industry.
The country is also spending a lot for its developments that will turn to massive profits for them, centering on their technology which the states push forth to bring for all to use.
China got ahead of The Boring Company and Elon Musk in the Hyperloop development with its new train system that resembles the famed idea of the world's top billionaire. Moreover, it is already successful in testing, and the working prototype was able to deliver at high speeds in its early stages of development, soon awaiting its completion.
