Google Pixel Spotted Using Twitter for iPhone After Replying to Tim Cook on ‘Take Note’ Campaign

Well, that is one huge mistake from its team.

The Google Pixel team is using an iPhone, and that much can be said after its recent tweet that showed their device preferences focusing on "Twitter for iPhone" after replying to the Apple CEO. In what was supposed to be categorizing the audience for their device preference between the iPhone and the Pixel, the move only tipped off Google's hand.

Many were quick to take a screenshot and have its copy appear on the thread, despite Google already deleting the tweet and using a different device for it.

Apple and CEO Tim Cook's campaign for the new iPad is known as the "Take Note" with its wallpapers also showing different doodles that one can make with the device was taught of as an NBA team preference by the world.

The same thing was perceived by Google, with the hashflag now debuting as a music note icon for the Utah Jazz team, where the company promoted the "#TeamPixel" for watching the games.

Initially, the Google Pixel team's Twitter account made a mistake by using an iPhone to send the tweet, having the device tag on it saying "Twitter for iPhone."

9to5Mac said Apple already gave up the animated hashflag for team Jazz.

Online sleuths were fast to take a screenshot of this and mocked Google for their device promotion, all while using an Apple device to deliver the message.

Google Deleted Twitter for iPhone Tweet

The public's screenshot already circulated online, with one user's photo used to mock Google, with the original tweet deleted by the company and got a replacement already. The new tweet already shows "Twitter Web App," with the same message that it tweeted to Tim Cook about the NBA games and which device to use to watch it.

Google and its Pixel Devices

Google went big with its Pixel 7 lineup when the company released the device with many ad and marketing campaigns behind it, focusing on its flagship's offers now. It centers on the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, with the two variants delivering different performance and features, mainly distinguishable by their cameras.

The latest Google smartphone also delivers on the company's designed chip, the Tensor silicon processor that brings the device its performance to handle many tasks.

The Pixel 7 also makes the transition from other devices like Samsung's Galaxy lineup and the Apple iPhones, a breeze for users, especially with its higher trade-in values which the company recently updated.

However, its recent mistake already made a lasting impression on the public, showing that Google employees and its Pixel team are using iPhones, the very device it rivals. The same thing happened with Samsung, but the company may have used it as a marketing tactic as it has multiple tweets that used the iPhone to send it.

For Google, it may have been a legitimate mistake as they deleted it immediately.
