'Game of Thrones: The Lost Lords' Release Date Finally Revealed

It's been seven long months since anyone has been able to see Game of Thrones, and what's worse is that the fifth season is still three months away. For a show as gripping as Game of Thrones, waiting nearly a year for new episodes is downright painful - yes, a show with such high production values is going to take a while to make, but...does it have to take a year?

Either way, Telltale Games' take on the mythology has been a nice way to ease the wait, and Game of Thrones: Iron From Ice was a near-perfect example of how Telltale can adapt the series into its unique gameplay style without disrupting or messing with what makes the original show so engaging.

The wait for Episode Two has been much shorter than that of the show, but that doesn't make it any easier. Thankfully, Telltale released a trailer earlier today that should please fans of its Game of Thrones series - especially because it reveals the release date for the second episode. Newcomers beware: the trailer contains spoilers for Game of Thrones: Iron from Ice!

Yes, it's a shame that most of the new trailer is actually a recap of the first episode, but it does do a good job of reminding players just how well Telltale Games has captured all of the characters' likenesses. These aren't just random people, they're recognizable - and, while they're not exact duplicates, it's easy to tell just who is who.

One thing to note is that the new trailer features a heavy focus on Tyrion Lannister. There's a lot of conniving and scheming going on in the trailer, and if the final game is anything like the video above, then it looks like Tyrion will be a major player in The Lost Lords. Cersei was a major influence in the first episode, so it's entirely possible that Tyrion will have a similar presence in the new one.

At any rate, fans won't have long to wait before they can find out just what Tyrion is up to: Game of Thrones, Episode Two: The Lost Lords is set for release on PC and Playstation platforms on Feb 3, followed by Xbox consoles on Feb. 4.
