Mark Zuckerberg says WhatsApp is better than Apple's iMessage in terms of the privacy and security of its users.
The big boss of Meta, the parent firm of WhatsApp, Zuckerberg, criticizes the messaging platform of the iPhone maker in his recent post on Instagram.
WhatsApp's Mark Zuckerberg vs. Apple's iMessage
The Meta chief executive officer (CEO) is now touting that his messaging service, WhatsApp, offers security and privacy to its users.
And to prove that WhatsApp prioritizes the security of its users, Zuckerberg compared it with the messaging service of Apple.
According to a recent report by Mac Rumors, the Meta boss took to Instagram to share a new WhatsApp billboard in New York City.
The advertisement that Zuckerberg shared on IG features a Green Bubble and a Blue Bubble, which the iMessage on iPhone uses to indicate messages sent on the platform.
A "Blue Bubble" means that a message has been sent via iMessage. On the other hand, the green counterpart shows up for SMS, which mostly comes from Android users.
However, the WhatsApp that the tech billionaire shared adds a "Private Bubble," suggesting that the Meta-owned service offers more privacy.
The tech entrepreneur added a caption to his post, touting that "WhatsApp is far more private and secure than iMessage."
The Meta CEO notes that his messaging service comes with "end-to-end encryption." He further added that this feature works across platforms, including Android and iPhone iOS. The tech exec also mentions that the encryption capability not only works on direct messages, but it is also available in group chats.

WhatsApp Features That Are Missing on iMessage
Besides the end-to-end encryption service of WhatsApp, Zuckerberg also listed some other features that Apple's iMessage fails to offer its users.
For instance, the billionaire notes that users of his messaging service can "set all new chats to disappear with the tap of a button."
Not to mention that he also boasts that WhatsApp now offers a backup option for end-to-end encrypted messages.
The Meta boss says "all of which iMessage still doesn't have."
As per the latest report by GSM Arena, the message service of Meta is struggling to be a major option for US users. However, in other parts of the world, WhatsApp already flaunts millions of users.
The WhatsApp head, Will Cathcart, previously claimed that the service is "growing" in the US.
