Minecraft Live 2022: New Mobs, Blocks, Features Coming to 'Minecraft'

Minecraft Live 2022 is jam-packed with cool surprises.

Minecraft Live 2022 has just concluded, and it is safe to say that Mojang delivered these new Minecraft features to be added to the game. This article will discuss the newest mobs, blocks, and features that will be added to the game to make our blocky adventures more interesting. Also, 1.20 is coming, and Mob Vote has a winner!

New Default Characters

We've had Steve and Alex as the game's main characters or mascots for a long time, but that will change as Mojang plans to add more default characters. Seven new characters are coming, to be exact.

Makene, Efe, Noor, Kai, Ari, Sunny, and Zuri are the names of Minecraft's new default characters, who have different skin colors and designs. When the group arrives in Minecraft later this year, players can choose the character who best represents them. Mojang's decision to increase inclusivity in the game through updates like this is admirable.

Minecraft 1.20 New Blocks and Mobs

The YouTube live chat was literally filled with expressions of amazement when game designers announced these new features, indicating that the rest of the player base would love them.

Bamboo Woodworks

Bamboo now has a new use, and it looks really interesting, in addition to being used to make panda food and scaffolding. Players can now use bamboo to create planks, stairs, doors, trapdoors, and a special bamboo mosaic block. Now, rafts and rafts with chests can be made from bamboo. Including these blocks and the new mud bricks will make your upcoming safari build look amazing.

Chiseled Bookshelves

Books were first introduced in the game in Java Edition Alpha v1.0.11, and players have since used the item as a unique way to write in-game. Many people used it as a diary, while others used it to write Minecraft lore and myths. The addition of the chiseled bookshelves changes the game for avid Minecraft writers because these items are fully functional bookshelves that can hold up to 6 books and can even be used in conjunction with redstone contraptions.

Hanging Signs

There is not much to explain about this upcoming block. The old sign block gets a rework as this new block enables players to put them suspended from the underside or side of blocks, including fences. This makes for a great sign for a local tavern or library, and players can even use it as a great festive decoration.

Camels

Camels are the game's first mobs that can support two-player riders. With this mob, you can direct where the desert animal goes, and another player can use a weapon like a crossbow to repel incoming hostile mobs. Camels are friendly, rideable mounts that can be bred using cacti and are found in desert villages.

Sniffer is Mob Vote Winner

All votes are in! The sniffer will be the last mob vote creature to enter the game.

The Sniffer is the game's closest approximation to a dinosaur-like mob. Because of massive bones underground and in the Nether, this is especially relevant to game lore. The Sniffer is a mob that digs up plantable seeds and grows them into unique plants.

More About Minecraft 1.20

According to Windows Central, Minecraft 1.20 already looks interesting, despite the fact that only four features have been announced, but there are some potential Minecraft additions that will not be included in this release.

The first snapshots and Minecraft Previews for 1.20 features will be available in the coming days, according to game designers.
