iQoo Neo 7 Is Coming — Will it Use Mediatek Dimensity 9000+ Chip?

The device's optics will reportedly have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX 766V sensor!

iQoo is launching its next mid-range smartphone iQoo Neo 7, next week, on Oct. 20 in China. The phone is now listed at every major outlet across China.

The design of the upcoming 5G phone has been teased, but the company has not yet disclosed the technical details of the device. Based on a report by India Today, here are the things you need to know about the next iQoo model.

The Teasers: What Does it Look Like?

The teasers reveal that the iQOO Neo 7 has a triple camera arrangement on its back panel, and the design of the rear panel is almost identical to that of its predecessor. It would appear that the third camera is located outside of the circle, which includes two sensors.

On the back of the phone, there is an imprint of the company's logo. The front of the device has not been shown off by the manufacturer just yet, but it is highly likely to use the same punch-hole display design as the majority of Android smartphones.

The Rumors: Screen, Display Quality, and Camera

According to the information that has been leaked so far, the iQOO Neo 7 will have a large display that is capable of running at a resolution of Full HD+. It is also reported that the panel is capable of supporting a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The principal sensor at the back of the handset will purportedly be a Sony IMX 766V and feature a resolution of 50 megapixels, in regards to the gadget's optics.

There is a lack of information available for the remaining sensors. However, an image that the company's product manager distributed demonstrated that the iQoo Neo 7 would be able to take high-quality photographs in dimly lit environments.

The Rumors: System Info and Others

It is possible that it runs on a chipset made by Mediatek called the 4nm Dimensity 9000+, which is also used in high-end smartphones made by Vivo and Asus. This chip is expected to be paired with up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage and up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

Based on the phone's Geekbench list, reported by Gizmochina, it has the potential to be the very first iQoo phone to launch with Android 13 OS already pre-installed.

Recent rumors stated that the Neo 7 would be equipped with a standard battery of 5,000mAh. It is also said that the tech firm might offer 120W quick charging support.

The users will probably be able to authenticate themselves using a biometric fingerprint sensor that is optical. Additionally, it ought to come equipped with an IR blaster and NFC connectivity.

At this time, it is not known when the product will be available in other parts of the world.
