Signal Messenger LLC is now developing Signa's Instagram-like Stories feature.
This detail was confirmed by Greyson Parrelli, an android developer working for the software giant.
"This release includes a big new feature: stories are now ready for beta testing!" said Parrelli via his official Beta Feedback on the Signal Community website.
This is a big deal for Signal since the app has been focusing on security.
No, the new stories feature is expected to offer a better experience while protecting users' privacy.
Signal's Instagram-Like Stories to Arrive?
According to Mashable's latest report, the new beta feature will soon let Signal testers access a new way of sharing videos, photos, and texts.
This enhancement is quite similar to Instagram Stories since it will disappear after 24 hours. The Signal Stories can also be shared with Signal connections.
What makes it different from IG's Stories is that the Signal Stories will be end-to-end encrypted.
This means that the content you share will completely disappear after one day.
Signal Message LLC is still in the early testing stages. Although the feature is not yet finished, beta testers already share their positive comments.
Signal Stories' Other Details
In the official Beta Feedback post of Greyson, he explained that the new feature will allow you to share your content with contacts, groups, and any Signal user you chatted with.
He added that the videos, photos, and texts you share would be visible to anyone in the group.
Once you share your Signal Stories to a group chat, all members can react, reply, view, and share your content.
But, since the new Signal Stories feature is still in beta, app testers are the only ones who can try it. If you want to learn more about the new feature of the messaging app, you can click here.
