The iPhone 14 Plus and the iPhone 14 Pro Max offer larger displays. But which better suits your needs?
Apple iPhone 14 Plus vs. iPhone 14 Pro Max
As per a recent report by CNBC, the new iPhone 14 Plus is shipping to its customers starting this Friday or on October 7.
The Plus variant is a new addition to the latest iPhone series. It essentially replaces the mini option, which the iPhone 13 sported.
The new model sports the same screen size as the higher-end iPhone 14 Pro Max. However, it comes with a cheaper price tag, allowing buyers to avoid paying more than $1,000 to get their hands on a much bigger display.
In fact, according to a news story by CNET, the Plus variant only costs $899 in the United States. On the other hand, the Pro Max retails for $1,099. So the former is roughly $200 cheaper than the higher-end option.
While both phones boast a 6.7-inch OLED display, the cheaper model weighs lighter at only 203 grams, whereas the Pro Max is 240g heavy.
Both support iOS 16 and HRD video recording. They also share a 12-megapixel selfie camera and 12MP ultrawide shooter. Not to mention that the two large display iPhones come with 5G, dual-SIM.
iPhone 14 Plus Wins in Battery Life
CNBC notes that the renowned tech giant touts that the all-new iPhone 14 Plus flaunts the "best battery life ever in iPhone."
It goes to show that the new iPhone 14 Plus is second to none when it comes to how long its battery would last after a day of usage.
Apple says that the video playback on the Plus option lasts up to 20 hours. The claim was not fair to the test results of CNBC, wherein the iPhone stayed up for roughly 19 hours after continuously playing YouTube videos.

What Sets the iPhone 14 Pro Max Apart
CNET notes in its report that the iPhone 14 Pro Max sports the Dynamic Island, a more powerful A16 Bionic chip, and up to 1 terabyte (TB) of internal storage.
Not to mention that the more expensive option comes with a 48MP primary camera and an additional 12MP telephoto snapper. On top of that, iPhone 14 Plus users are also missing out on the Always-On display.
But given these advantages, it appears that the most expensive iPhone 14 is meant for power users who need 1TB of storage and an A16 Bionic chip.
The deal breaker though is the lack of Dynamic Island on the $200 cheaper iPhone 14 Plus.
