The announcement was emailed to different people and shared how changes were to be made to their profile, lyrics, account, and measure.
When it came to profile, Apple said that they believe that image and personality are very important when it comes to engaging with new listeners or even connecting to fans. There will be a new Artist Profile section that will allow users to connect with their fans "in their own words."
Artists can Now Customize Their Own Biography
Artists will be given options to answer different questions in order to create a customized biography that will be shown on their Apple Music artist page. Details including hometown, date of birth, collaborators, pronouns, and other information can also be added to the Artist's profile.
Another addition would be the lyrics section wherein users will be able to add their own song lyrics to appear right with their music. This way, fans and listeners will be able to read the lyrics while they are listening to the music.
New Feature Also Includes Ways for Users to Better Manage Their Profiles
Aside from what the listeners or audience sees, Apple will be adding a way for artists to build a team behind their Account section. Artists will easily be able to add or assign different roles to different people to ensure their account stays active.
These roles include adding admins, analysts, and profile editors to help ensure that everything runs smoothly with their account. This way, artists won't have to do everything themselves since they will be able to hire a team to help them.
