The news outlet claims that the renowned chip maker also reached out to NVIDIA regarding its price hike plan. TSMC reportedly told the iPhone maker and NVIDIA that it is looking to increase the price of its 12-inch and 8-inch chip by 5% and 6%, respectively.

Phone Arena reports that the tech juggernaut is actually behind roughly 25% of the revenue of the Taiwanese chip maker.
9to5 Mac says in the same news story that TSMC is responsible for the all-new A16 Bionic chip, which powers the higher-end iPhone 14 Pro models. The latest Apple chip uses a 4-nanometer (nm) technology.
However, reports say that TSMC is now working to build a new Bionic chip that follows the 3nm process, the A17. And this upcoming chip is gearing up to run the rumored flagship smartphone of Apple, the iPhone 15, by 2023.
It is to note that the Taiwanese chip maker is also reportedly working on the next M3 chips for MacBooks, Macs, and iPad.
