Google Maps Gives Users FREE Fi Service

As per the recent report by 9to5 Google, the search engine giant is giving away a free unlimited plan of Google Fi, allowing takers to save roughly $200 right off the bat.

The news outlet notes that Google Maps users could earn some perks from time to time. But this time, the new promotion specifically allows Local Guides to get something in return.

To be more precise, the tech behemoth is giving some Local Guides a free Google Fi service until the year hits its final curtain call.

9to5 Google notes that being a Local Guide on Google Maps comes with a couple of perks as you help contribute to making the navigating platform better than ever.

But the latest perk is a pretty huge bargain. The tech giant is giving some Local Guides a free Fi service for up to three months.

According to a news story by Android Central, some Google Maps users have shared an email from the tech firm, telling them that they got a free Google Fi service.

The media outlet notes that users started reporting about the bargain promotion over the weekend.

The promotional email confirms that the freebie is in exchange for the contributions of some Local Guides to Google Maps. It further notes that they could "enjoy Google Fi at no cost for the rest of the year."

The email went on to explain how Google Fi works. The message says that it is "a phone plan from Google without contracts or hidden fees."

It turns out that the free Fi service perk is available to some Maps users, who have contributed to making it a better platform. The email also sends its appreciation to contributing users of the mapping service.

How to Redeem Free Fi Service

But how do eligible Google Maps users redeem this free Fi service promotion?

9to5 Google says that the offer comes with some conditions. For instance, it requires Maps users to be first-time customers of Google Fi.

On top of that, eligible users also need to port in their current phone numbers, 9to5 Google notes in the same report.

The redemption period for the Google Fi promotion is up to the end of the month or on October 31, 2022, to be more exact.
