Apple iPhone 14 Pro model sales in China are skyrocketing as the latest flagship smartphone of the Cupertino-based tech giant reaches the Asian territory.
However, it appears that the standard iPhone 14 series, which includes the entry-level iPhone 14 and the new iPhone 14 Plus variant, is getting significantly lower sales.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro China Sales Skyrockets
As per the latest news story by the South China Morning Post, the sales of the new iPhone series in Chinese Apple stores show that there is remarkably robust demand for its higher-end options, the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
It is worth noting that the well-known analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, previously predicted that the shipments of the iPhone 14 Pro series are about to increase. He notes that the higher-end variants are likely to go as high as 65% of the total shipments of the new mobile device.
On top of assessment for the whole Pro lineup, Kuo also believes that the top-of-the-line Pro Max is going to be the most popular among consumers. He says that it should take about 35% of the total shipments of the entire series.
And now that the iPhone 14 series has finally arrived in China, we get to see a glimpse of how the new Apple flagship is actually doing in sales.
The South China Morning Post reports that the Pro series is in demand in China. The market research firm, Sandal Advisors claims that its sales figures have surged by roughly 38%.
The Hong Kong-based media outlet further points out that the estimated delivery time for these Pro models has been stretched into weeks.
No less than the official online Apple store reveals that the iPhone 14 Pro Max takes around six weeks before it gets delivered. Meanwhile, Pro variant buyers would have to wait for roughly five weeks.
How About the Standard iPhone 14 Series
On the other hand, the standard iPhone 14 series looks to be far behind the sales of its more expensive sibling. The data from Sandalwood Advisors shows that the sales of the non-Pro models plunged by a staggering 71%, 11 days since it launched.
It turns out that the standard iPhone 13 lineup was more well-received. The 2021 Apple flagship ended up performing better in the same period than its successor.
However, according to a report by Global Times China, the investment bank, Jefferies Group, notes that the sales of the entire lineup declined by about 11% compared to its predecessor.
