According to the story by Games Radar, this confirms that Terror Zones have finally been opening up access throughout the main game servers after they were initially being tested on the Public Test Realm.

What the Hidden Message Looked Like in the Patch Notes

To make things even more interesting, a photo was added with a sentence that said, "we were flipping through the old Diablo 2 manual and found this confounding description... what does it all mean?"

The photo shows a lot of different Diablo-themed props, as well as a book that comes with three codes that were written on the page. The clues also include a drawing of a pentagram as well as an IRL ring and medallion.

After different attempts and numerous trials and errors, users were able to discover that they could actually get a nine-digit number if they decided to spam the chat gem within the online lobby.

From there, they notably believed that they were able to find a correlation between the code and the passage within the Diablo 2 manual. The correlation was thought to be seen in the page number, line number, and word number, like a lot of different codes.

Group Believes They Transcribed 664 Words Of the 666-Word Passage

The group then believes that they were able to transcribe 664 words of the 666-word passage. What was left was the 026 word that has yet to be deciphered, although some would say that the answer is "fate."
