Anonymous hacked Iran's CCTV cameras, as claimed by some of the hacking group's members. The cybercriminal organization confirmed this detail via their official Twitter account.
"#OpIran, we hear the calls of the Iranian people.We understand the abuse you suffer, and we will do our best to help the people of Iran as much as we can," said Anonymous via its official tweet.

According to Independent UK's latest report, the latest hacking activities against Iran's CCTV cameras happened after they breached the Iranian government's websites.

Members of the hacktivist group also managed to hack state TV channels as part of the #OpIran movement, which began after the death of Mahsa Amini.
Amini is a 22-year-old woman who died after Iran's morality police took her into custody. Reports stated that she was accused of violating the country's strict dress code.
People protested across cities and towns in Iran after her death was announced.
Now, some members of the hacking group said that they are among the hacktivists supporting Iranians against their "repressive" government.
How Many Iranian CCTVs Were Breached?
Around 2,000 Iranian CCTVs, as well as web-connected security cams, were allegedly breached by the hacktivist group.
Anonymous hackers are believed to have used IoT (Internet-of-Things) security vulnerabilities in the security cameras, allowing them to access the CCTV systems of Iran.
Because of this, the cybercriminals said they can now access the cameras Iran used for its streets, grocery stores, police stations, and other places.
