Despite over a year since its launch, fans have been struggling to purchase the PS5 restock at MSRP and not from scalpers. With restocks becoming less frequent for certain retail stores, it's important to know where the next drop would boat likely be.
Not All Online Retailers are Frequently Dropping Stocks of the PlayStation 5
Unlike before, the PS5 restock is no longer dropping on every major retailer at frequent timelines. In fact, only a few online retailers had the stock available throughout September with some of them even stretching to April since their last restock.
With that, buyers should focus their attention on the stores where the PS5 is most likely to drop. Although this is still not a guarantee that buyers will be able to purchase the console when new stock arrives, it gives buyers an idea regarding where to look at.
An article by Game Spot gave a list of the different online retailers that have most recently had a PS5 restock listed on their platform. The list also highlighted the online retailers where the console hasn't dropped in a long time.
Less Recent PS5 Restock Online Retailers:

As for the other retailers, some of them had PS5 restock drops in August. Although not that recent, this could be a sign that there is still a possibility of the console dropping on their website any time in the future.
These online retailers include Amazon with its last PS5 restock drop on August 8 and GameStop where the last PS5 restock drop was on August 19 to 20. There are reportedly two other places that have had the most recent restocks online with drops in September.

PS Direct Allows Users to Register for Participation with Future Restocks
It's important to note that despite recently having the PlayStation 5 in stock, this is still not a guarantee that buyers will be able to purchase the console from them any time soon. The best thing that buyers can do is to both wait and sign up for the different online retailers for a smooth checkout when the stock does become available.
Another important technique that buyers can follow is to register on PS Direct in order to participate with future restocks. This would allow buyers to get a better chance at purchasing the PlayStation when it finally launches its upcoming restock online.
