Valve Announces Steam Deck Will Ship Even Faster than Expected After Production Estimates were Exceeded

Valve announced that buyers will get their Steam Deck orders faster than expected and yet again, the manufacturer announced even more good news. In a recent message, the company announced that they've sent invitations to those with Q3 reservations and are getting ready to send out Q4 reservations.

News About the Steam Deck Comes at a Time that Other Consoles are Struggling to Cope with Chip Shortage

The news comes during a time that console shipments have seen significant delays due to manufacturing problems. To be more specific, the reason why a lot of console supply has been delayed is because of the semiconductor shortage.

While the PS5 restock and Xbox Series X restock still suffer and buyers are still struggling to purchase the console at MSRP, Valve is already preparing to service more buyers. According to the story by Comic Book, the company has concentrated a lot of its efforts in order to improve the manufacturing and shipping process of the Steam Decks.

Good News Regarding Valve's Steam Deck is Expected to Continue Throughout the Year

The announcement by Valve comes at a time that a lot of tech companies have fallen behind in deliveries due to shipping constraints. Aside from volume, the company has also increased the rate at which the Steam Deck is being shipped to customers.

The good news is that the trend is expected to continue until the end of this year. Valve shared the message on their website saying the Steam Deck rates have been higher than they had initially anticipated.

Q3 Schedule for Deliverables have been Fulfilled Ahead of Time

To be more specific, the company announced that shipments of the Steam Deck that were initially scheduled for Q3 have already been fulfilled "before the end of the month." This means that they are already starting to process the Q4 orders.

Valve also announced the news on Twitter via the Steam Deck account specifying that the Q3 period was from July to September. The company also said that as some people have noticed, they have been increasing the speed of their reservations.

Steam Deck Q4 Deliverables Could Arrive Before the Initial Expectations

The company says that the reason for their speed increase is that they have been able to beat their own estimates "yet again" and that they have already sent emails for all Q3 reservations. As per Comic Book, this means that if a buyer's Steam Deck was estimated to arrive in Q4, there is a slight chance that they would receive it before that period.

The article urges buyers to always keep an eye out on their emails in order to move immediately should Valve send a notification noting their Steam Deck is ready to buy. The downside is that if an interested buyer has not yet placed their pre-order in advance, they will not receive an email and will still have to go through the whole process.
