Snapchat is launching a desktop web browser version of the popular app that will be available for all users. Snapchat for Web was initially available for Snapchat+ subscribers in selected places only but now, the feature is finally open for all.
Snapchat for Web is Now Available to All Users Across the Globe
The popular social network has just launched Snapchat for Web to its whole global community. Before this decision, the feature was only open to Snapchat+ subscribers in the UK, US, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia when it launched in July.
According to the story by Tech Crunch, with the use of the browser version, users are free to send messages, snaps, and even do other usual functions like voice or video calls. Snapchat for Web will also be including the messaging features available on the app version which includes chat reactions.
How to Use Snapchat On Your Web Browser
Snapchat for Web will also feature over 10 Lenses that users can utilize for video calls. In order to gain access to Snapchat for Web, all users will have to do is go to web.snapchat.com and log in with their username and password for Snapchat.

Users Will be able to See Bitmoji on the Snapchat for Web Version

To add, the web version of the app will also include a private screen that can hide the Snapchat window should users click away in order to do something else. Like on the app, the messages that are being sent will be deleted directly after 24 hours.
Company Will Still Extend Efforts in Stopping Users from Taking Screenshots
The company also announced that Snapchat for Web will stop people from easily taking screenshots. Upon launch, however, the company said that they are well aware that some users are still able to take pictures on their mobile devices which means that the project is not perfect.
In the past, the company reportedly shared that the average Snapchat caller will spend over 30 minutes a day on calls. Despite the app being seen as a mobile-first platform, the company wants to bring the core features of the app to the web.
