Connectivity

When it comes to design, the new PSVR 2 is quite different from the Quest 2. This is because it relies on a USB-C cable to tether to the PS5. Although it can't offer wireless connectivity, its one-cable setup is still better than the original PSVR.

Design

On the other hand, the actual headset, which looks like a visor, is surrounded by a rubbery shield. This blocks the light from entering the device while using it.

Field-of-View

When it comes to the FOV, it also has a wider field of view compared to Quest 2. It creates HDR effects that have high contracts between shady corners and bright sunlight.

Features

Among the most interesting features that you can expect from PSVR 2 is its eye-tracking function. This copies how the real human eyes work, allowing the VR headset to focus on rendering the visual effects aligned to the users' eyes.

PSVR 2 VR Controllers

The upcoming PSVR 2 will have the new VR2 Sense controllers. The Wired reported that this is more advanced than PlayStation's Move controllers.

When it comes to features, the VR2 Sense has functionalities that are comparable to the DualSense controller. They have the same matte finish around the grip.

This allows you have a better holding experience. However, the button layout of the VR2 Sense is said to be less intuitive compared to the standard PS5 controller.

Aside from this, PSVR 2's new controllers are wireless. But, Sony hasn't confirmed how long it will last on a single charge.
