Bandai Namco is going to resurrect a fan-favorite RPG title with a new remaster. Fans of the 2004 "Tales of Symphonia" will be getting a remastered version for the more modern consoles.
Bandai Namco Will be Remastering a 2004 Nintendo GameCube Classic
According to the story by Comic Book, a fan favorite from 2004 on the Nintendo GameCube will be reportedly making a comeback. The RPG will be getting a remastered version of the original title.
Recently, there have been numerous different titles that have started to return to the consoles of today. The trend is bringing other fan favorites up to date with new entries from some of the older console's glory days.
'Tales of Symphonia' Got a Previous HD Version for the PS3
Revealed as part of the presentation of the Nintendo Direct, Bandai Namco, the publisher for the popular title, announced that the "Tales of Symphonia" will be remastered. This, however, is not actually the first time that the title got remastered.
The game reportedly got an HD release on the PlayStation 3 with the title "Tales of Symphonia Chronicles," which came along with the sequel. The game reportedly came to Steam in 2016 for the PC.
New Title Will be Available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One
Bandai Namco is now planning to re-release the game once again, but this time for more current consoles like the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. No mention of the PS5, Xbox Series X, or Xbox Series S was mentioned in the article.
Although the game has been announced, no release date was attached. The article by Comic Book notes that the drop could happen sometime during the early part of 2023.

In a tweet by Tales of Arise on Twitter, it was noted that players will be able to follow Lloyd Irving along with his friends as they try to save both worlds within "Tales of Symphonia Remastered." The tweet described the title as being one of the most critically acclaimed games within the Tales of series.
More details regarding the game were noted on the official Bandai Namco website. So far, even the website does not give a fixed date regarding when the game will launch, but it notes that the "Tales of Symphonia Remastered" is coming this 2023.

Other Titles Within the Tales Franchise Aside from the 'Tales of Symphonia'
It was noted that the "Tales of Symphonia" is but a single installment in the expansive Tales franchise from Bandai Namco. After the release of the title in 2003, there were more titles that were launched within the Tales series.
These titles include "Tales of Legendia," "Tales of Vesperia," and "Tales of Xillia," and more recently, the "Tales of Arise," which launched in 2021 and was the first entry in the span of about five years.
