Before, if people wanted to buy a good or service, there was a need to give physical money to the merchant or seller. Nowadays, making financial transactions with others has become much easier thanks to cashless technology.

One of the most popular apps that promote digital payment is the Apple Wallet app. The Cupertino giant has created it for users to avoid the hassle of payment. It's also used to store coupons and even digital keys.

According to Macrumors, the latest report shows that the Cupertino tech titan has brought myriad updates for its updated Wallet app.

Based on the iOS 16 features page, the newest OS has added some keys to the digital wallet. The iPhone and Apple Watch users can now do that even without going to the App Store to download the key issuer's app.

All it takes is just a single visit to Safari to add these keys.

Another thing that impressed a lot of fans is the support for the multi-stay hotel keys. If you have an Apple Watch or smartphone, you can easily check in and out of your room using a key.

For comparison, if you want to include a new reservation for your hotel stay on iOS 15, you will need to add a new hotel key first.

Apple Pay Later Coming Soon

Aside from fancy key support that has been added to the iOS 16 Wallet app lately, another update is expected to come soon on the app.

Macrumors wrote that the company is preparing to launch Apple Pay Later in a future update. As of press time, there's no particular date for its launch to the public.

As part of the initial test, only select customers can use Apple Pay Later. It's useful if you have installments for a product you want to pay online.

Soon, this built-in feature will allow you to have a split payment into four equal portions. The schedule will reportedly last for more than six weeks. What's better is that you won't pay any additional fees or interest for your purchase.

Other Things to Explore on iOS 16

Apart from the Apple Wallet updates, CNBC reported that iPhone users can now schedule emails ahead of time on iOS 16. This means that they now have an option to send a message later, which saves them from relying on the undo button.

You can now see the Tapback reactions on the iMessage platform. You can also utilize Smarter Dictation if you want to pronounce a word and even use proper punctuation in your sentence.

On top of that, customizable lock screens are now up for us, as well as the Safety Check which is helpful for users who want to protect their private space and personal data from abusive persons.

Elsewhere, Apple urged the users to update their iPhone, iPad, and iMac to avoid potential hacks from the zero-day exploit.
